10.26.2009 - Special thanks to Ms. Andi Manzano for this tweet on the recent Halloween Pet Party, where one contest winner emerged. A chihuahua wearing a Optimus Prime get up besting the the other dogs in the recent event.
10.24.2009 - Though this is old news some won't notice these RoTF movie two packs, that might either save you from looking for two separate figures in your collection. It rare these days that you see two figures bunched up together.
Like the recent sighting of Sideways and a newly repainted Blowpipe (what a name... Hasbro must have ran out of decent ones) based from the Dropkick 2007 figure.
(Please CLICK on the title for the full article)
So far there was no single carded for Blowpipe, but its worth looking into this one. But I won't surely agree if you have already got the Dropkick figure or the red Autobot Scavenger that came out last year, which ended in the sale bin this past month.
The second set is the Ratchet and Grindor two-pack, which will cost more than the first mentioned set, since these are Voyager classs (medium size robots). They are both straight retooled or repaints of the original Ratchet and Blackout figures released in 2007.
Though Grindor has a new head compared to Ratchet, which just had minor color change that might come close to be good for those who still doesn't have the figure from the first movie.
They are all available in stores, but another set that would probably the Hoist and Mix Master set TRU Exclusive. Originals from the Long Arm released in 2007 and Mix Master RoTF in Generation 1 colors found at Comic Alley shops. Funny this set is not available at Toys R' Us, which the store had this as an exclusive.
10.23.2009 - Perhaps one of the baddies from the comic books has returned this time released under the Revenge of The Fallen toyline will give your Classics Megatron a run for your toy shelf display.
Introducing Bludgeon the maniacal engine of destruction has bee sighted in one of the local specialty shops going for PhP 1,699.75 pesos.
(Please CLICK on the title for the full article)
Originally as Decepticon Pretender that was released in the 80's is now completely a robot in true form unlike his pretender shell. The master of the art of Metalikato is going to be one 'con in your want list.
Lately Hasbro has been expanding the RoTF toyline with repaints and new characters for you to add in your movie collection. I'd say Bludgeon fits well with the Universe toyline better than the alien looking movie series.
So far he's the most recent release in this toyline. The last report we had was the complete boxed version of the white Leo Prime from the Universe series, which was a Target exclusive release.
Bludgeon will be a nice catch for you Generation One fans who wants a new version of this character. All I can say is he retains his tank mode and his robot body is his pretender skin.
This one's a bad ass Decepticon that makes Skeletor a whining fruit cake.
10.22.2009 - Transformers toys continues to be on sale for 50% and 30% off. They are getting sold out since Playkit (a local distributor for Hasbro products) had slashed down prices early this year. Mostly due to the arrival of the movie line, and the discontinuation of the Animated series.
The Universe line was also on sale and it has been trending the past months. that the most sought after are now gone from the shelves.
(Please CLICK on the title for the full article)
Most notable are the Deluxe and Voyager Class releases. Recent left overs are repainted from the previous toyline released in the Universe line. The Animated series though not as popular here are starting to pick up on sale bins.
So far the only things that's not on sale for the Universe toyline is the Combiners. Namely Bruticus and Superion sets, which still carry the SRP tag price.
The movie line was not a big hit with the fans. Most complaint are the character designs, and the engineering of selected key characters. Most often sold are main characters who appeared in the movie. Scalpers mostly feast their eyes on the most wanted characters, but the tending has been slow lately due to the G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra releases.
Lately collectors are mostly silent these days, since there's not much new in TransFormers after Revenge of the Fallen. What we see is the market is there its just waiting for the next big thing on shelves.
The only things that's going for the brand is the expanded characters from the movie. Like the upcoming Voyager Class Bludgeon and soon to be released deluxe class assortments next year.
If you haven't gone to toy stores or your nearest department stores the Ultra Class assortment of Powerglide, Onslaught, and Silverbolt are now going for PhP 800.00 pesos. The voyager Class assortment most notable want list that you'll rarely see are Leo Prime (retooled/repainted Leo Breaker), Thread Bolt (retooled/repainted Jetfire), Inferno and Vector Prime going for PhP 600.00 pesos.
The Animated series have been moving lately with the deluxe class main characters like Bumblebee, Prowl, Jazz, and Blurr has been gone from the shelves. They can be seen in the secondary market going for the original SRP. Leader class Megatron has been slowly disappearing since he's not PhP 1,000.00 pesos.
Most Voyager class characters has been moving up and about with Shockwave, Skywarp, Grimlock including Optimus Prime almost nearly extinct. But if you know your toy hunting ways you still be able to get a hold of them.
The Animated twin jets Jetstorm & Jetfire has been on sale too just see the tag for PhP 1,000.00 pesos. The Japanese reissue has left Ratchet & Ironhide sleeping in most of the shelves. Poor things have been headless if you didn't get to own one before. This might be your chance to grab both for PhP 500.00 each.
To sum it all up the sale still continues until everything sold out. Some of those on the shelves are less favorites, but I'm sure some will warm up to you if you know the characters.
I'm sure Decepticon Dropshot would need a new home. He appeared in the 11th issue of All Hail Megatron comic book.
That's for sheer commercialism if you want to grab him though.

07.06.2009 - It could pass up as the real thing, but he looked like the Leader Class toy from the first movie. But all I can say is nice craftsmanship. This proves we can replicate these kinds of statues. Though not as handsome as the Bumblebee sighted in one of the car shows in United States.
But its good enough for fans who appreciates the movie to have equal opportunity to have a photo opportunity with the leader of the Autobots. Just don't get close to his feet he might step on you.
Optimus Prime can still be found in SM Megamall's cinema on the 3rd level.
yeah, the only thing you can see the exclusive sneak peak is buying the new dvd of the 1st movie, its sucks that they do this every time and now i need to buy that dvd again just to see this damn sneak peak on what they said in the online flyer, it sucks that im a transformers fan! hahahaha. sorry, need to grab this dvd anyway.

Its a 2 year in a making for this video hahaha, just kidding, I just got in touch with a contact person 2 years ago and since that I failed to do an interview with Mark Ryan right after the Transformers movie, I'm glad that all is not too late and I got him a video interview and message that I showed to all convention goers and Transformers fans at the 8th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention 2009 at the SM Megamall. Everyone clapped their hands and showed their appreciation for Mark Ryan, and happy to see that he is part of the convention even only in a video message.
WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Mark Ryan ( voice for Bumblebee, Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen)
Watch the video above.
thanks Mark Ryan!! and more Bumblebee power on upcoming movies and video games of Transformers.
This video was originally played last June 13, 2009 at the 8th Philippine Toy Con 2009.
06.13.2009 - Last night everyone is setting up for the biggest event of the year. It might be compared to other international conventions around the world. This is the stage where everyone gets the biggest pie of exposure since its small beginning in 2002.
TransFormers Philippines was its infancy that time and ever since 2003 we where there to bring what Fandom is all about. We may not come in a large display, but the group speaks about what Real Transformers Fans.
Its all about having fun. See all the preview photos right HERE.
06.12.2009 - Our resident forum member Boyet Halili shares his new Optimus Prime figure, which he completed by buying 1.5 KG hotdogs. This was featured in TFW2005 forums as one of the highlight products tied up to the upcoming sequel to the 2007 live action movie.
For more of this you can also see Boyet's original post at our local forums right HERE.
06.07.2009 - Transformers Philippines was founded yesterday seven years in the original Yahoo Groups mailing list. It was a thriving group from the start. It was a word of mouth after the very first Toy Con that was held in the old Conference Hall, which was in the month of October 2002.
Back then it was literally a Toy Con exhibitors, where just selling stuff and getting merchandise auctioned. There was no cosplay and there was a structured program just selling.
If you look at it back then things where not that wild the following year. You could say we started in the simple things. We where part of the journey and you know who you are being part of this group. Nobody predicted what will happen in the course of seven years to see how found are identity.
We realized that BEING A FAN IS NOT equals to TOY COLLECTING. This hobby is just secondary, and its doesn't need a rocket science to tell you how we are passionate. It just goes to show you true fans has unlimited imagination, and its not based on the plastic hardware you accumulate. This group was built in friendship and its not made of materialistic things.
Some kid out there doesn't own an action figure, but one can tell you by heart how he or she tells the story of one episode in a big way.
For those years we witness the changes since the first movie came out. We rarely see a true fan be as passionate one can be. Its rare to see fans who doesn't make the hobby there life, and never get too redundant to make a point.
BEING A FAN IS BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF ON WHO YOU ARE. For seven years we never take short cuts on being here. We just express our love for the mythology and just talking about anything related to Transformers.
BEING A FANS IS NOT A BASIS OF JUST ONE THING... TOYS. When you look at it some would argue that its the basis for being a fan. But that's not how others think. For the sake of argument you analyze it by yourself and see the difference.
FANS have there own lives so we don't take this hobby too seriously. We don't make a career out of this hobby because it will ruin the fun. The reason why we got interested in the first place.
Unfortunately in reality we can see a lot of that, but who cares right?
We are FANS and we live our life outside from this, because this hobby is just another way to relax and get away from the rough reality. We enjoyed this when we where kids and up until now some would say the movie was not the one they expect.
Its already 2009 who would like to see a 1984 cartoon turned into a live action film. Things change and that's the only thing that stays permanent. We let the future decided and we guide to control that future.
So how to do you celebrate seven years BEING THE FIRST AND ORIGINAL FAN GROUP?
From the beginning up to now we celebrate as good friends, and toast a glass to BEING A FAN. We enjoy and seize the day, aside from the constant changes that are permanent. We found out who are our real friends, and who'll be valued in the future.
REAL FANS WHO HAS THE HEART. THAT'S WHO WE ARE. NOT MACHINES.

05.31.2009 - Revenge is Coming and Toy Kingdom did not disappoint A LOT of Toy Collectors, where as early as 10AM people lined up to be the first. The released toy line based on the upcoming sequel that will be shown on June 26th was launched at SM Megamall in corporation organized by the toy collecting group of Cybertron Philippines.
Toy Collectors bumping and grind with parents, and kids alike to get in first with the most wanted Leader Class Optimus Prime and Megatron.
Most of the events happening in the launch where games, toy displays, and selling of the brand new products. When you say Toy Launch it just caters to The Toys and rarely we see other products being presented as side from handful of shirts being sold for kids sizes.
It sure is a festive event for Toy Collectors but rarely see the fans. A few parents and kids where just having the difficulty never getting, that chance to get the main toys.
I'm sure it will be out all over the places its good see kids having there own Optimus Primes and Megatrons, but once it comes out. As the one on the launch was mostly geared purely for Toy Collector aficionados not entirely for mass appeal.
We just have to wait for the real fans to see it available everywhere, but for your viewing pleasure check out Heer0san's coverage courtesy of Robot Pilipinas right HERE.
I'm very addicted to this game last year, The Battle of the Allspark is an online multi play video game and the mission is that you should choose which side of forces - Autobot or Decepticons.
You will pick a country and do head to head battle with other enemy Transformers that is depend on what faction you chooses. many TF fans got hooked on this, and looks like I'll be playing this game on Sunday at the wifi event ahhahaha.
